Job Search Visa

The Job Search Visa (Autorización de residencia para búsqueda de empleo o inicio de proyecto empresarial) is a non-lucrative residence permit (not allowed to work) valid for 24 months (non-renewable), starting from the expiration date of your previous student residence permit in Spain. It allows foreign nationals to remain legally in Spain while they search for qualified employment or develop a business project related to their field and level of studies. This authorization can only be requested by those who have previously held a student residence permit, have completed higher education in an authorized Spanish institution, and have reached at least Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (equivalent to a university degree). Once you obtain a suitable job offer, your employer must initiate the process to convert your status into a work and residence permit.
